Natural Ingredients in our Shampoo, Conditioner, Body & Hand Wash and Lotion

The main ingredient in all of our products is aloe. This alone sets up apart. Many companies list their first ingredient as water. Instead of filler, aloe adds antioxidants like beta carotene, Vitamin C and E to our product. These aid in reducing the appearance of damaged skin. Aloe also contains more than 75 nutrients, including minerals and essential amino acids. They provide hydration to the skin to promote a healthy and refreshed complexion.

Green Tea isn’t just good for you in the mornings. Green tea extract naturally removes toxins from the skin. It has been studied in the prevention of skin cancer as it appears to reduce levels of cancerous proteins, blocking the reaction which causes tumors to grow.

Irish Moss, also known as carrageenan, is made from red algae, a nutrient-rich seaweed. It has essential vitamins A, B1, C and E, nutrients and minerals, including phosphorus, magnesium, iron and iodine. There have been some concerns about this ingredient, as it can contribute to inflammation when ingested. However, studies have shown that the molecules that cause problems are large enough that they are not absorbed by the skin when used topically. Irish moss is an excellent moisturizer that softens hair and smooths skin. It also provides a natural thickener to the products and allows us to avoid some nasty chemicals other brands use.

Papaya and Pineapple Pulp are a rich source of papain and contains a high content of essential and trace minerals, including manganese, thiamin and copper. Additionally these fruits are rich in naturally occurring antioxidants especially vitamins A and C. They are naturally gentle exfoliators, leaving skin softer and smoother.

The Camellia plant is rich in oleic acid, as well as vitamins A, B, C and E and potassium, zinc, calcium and iron. Excellently suited to all skin types, camellia seed oil absorbs deeply into the skin providing long-lasting moisture. Skin will feel softer, more supple and smooth. The nutrients in camellia seed oil help restore skin’s natural pH balance. They protect skin from environmental pollutants and age spots, smooth wrinkles and soothes irritation.

So many ask how how our products are able to lather without sulfates. The answer is Quillaja Saponaria, which is farmed specifically for use in natural bath products. Additionally, it offers some anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial benefits, which can improve the health of hair and skin.

Coconut Oil is rich in Lauric Acid and contains vitamin E and K. In addition to being an ingredient on its own, we get a lot of questions about whether or not we use palm oil in our vegetable glycerin. As palm oil is responsible for much of the world’s deforestation, we’re happy to confirm that we use coconut for the vegetable glycerin. In addition to allowing us to skip the palm oil, organic coconut oil is known as an exceptional conditioner, leaving hair and skin silky soft.
