Our Body Lotion is lightweight, fast-absorbing, and hydrating. With aloe as a base, daily use will leave skin soft and supple.
HERO INGREDIENTS
Organic Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice helps soothe, soften, and hydrate the skin. It moisturizes dry skin due to its high number of mucopolysaccharides which help in binding moisture to the skin.
Rosa Canina Fruit Oil is high in omega fatty acids, and anti-aging antioxidants including Vitamin E and Vitamin A. It moisturizes skin and helps to soothe and strengthen skin.
Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract helps replenish skin’s moisture partially because it quickly penetrates into the skin. It is rich in oleic acid and linoleic acid which have skin rejuvenating properties. It also contains natural antioxidants, such as tocopherols (vitamin E) and polyphenols.

This is a good every day lotion, and I adore having a zero waste option. That being said, if you have dry skin or are prone to eczema, this may not be enough. I certainly wouldn’t reach for this for flare ups. It is too lightweight and runny. Maybe one day they will make a thicker cream for us sensitive skin cases. For now, though, this is a good sustainable option that I just supplement with the thicker creams when I have bad skin days.

The body lotion leaves such a nice, smooth, and hydrated feeling on my dry skin and I love it! I put it on after my shower before bed at nighttime and I can go the whole next day without having to re-apply.

I really wish it was more hydrating considering how expensive each bottle is, but so far one of my favorite zero waste lotion options that I’ve come across. It’s lightweight and has an easier application in my opinion to lotion bars. I love the Rosemary Mint Vanilla scent, it’s very fresh, but doesn’t smell overpowering.

Great hand lotion! Absorbs very well, not heavy or thick, leaves my skin moist with no sticky residue, skin feels normal and not dry. The scent is perfect (my daughter loves the mint-vanilla I like the citrus-lavender), not overpowering like a lot of lotions, subtle and soothing. I also love the sustainability of the product and how climate friendly it is! Will definitely reorder.

I saw a recommendation for this brand from a zero-waste book and decided to give this a shot. I’m glad I did! This body lotion is slightly more watery and runny than what I was expecting, but it absorbs so quickly! I got the scent of citrus lavender and it honestly reminds me of sugary cereal (think Fruit Loops), so that was a little surprising. I still enjoy it though! The metal bottle is very nice and chic, not to mention great for sustainability. 🙂 This is a great daily use body lotion and I will be using it after every shower. I would recommend this product to a friend and I will be purchasing again in the future!

I’ve been using this lotion for over a year and it is my absolute favorite. I’ve tried all the scents but favorite is the citrus & lavender. It reminds me of being at a spa.
The lotion itself I’d describe as a good maintenance lotion. I use it twice a day (once in the morning and once in the evening as I’m heading to bed) and it does a great job at preventing dryness. I’ve tried other lotions that are supposed to be for dry skin, but I end up having to put it on 3 to 4 times a day and even then my hands end up cracking and sometimes will bleed from being so dry. Plaine body lotion feels like it’s actually absorbing into my skin and leaves it smooth and hydrated. Sometimes lotions leave a slimy feeling or feels like your skin immediately absorbs it but doesn’t provide any hydration. Not this stuff. It’s amazing.
Of course, the fact that it comes in sustainable packaging, the transparency of the company and their goals to always improve is very much an important part of the reason I continue purchasing this product.
I would give it a 4.75 star if I could because the absolute only downside of this product is the price. Yes, I understand that it takes a lot of resources (time, money, people, etc.) to create a product this good and sustainable, which is why in the end I gave it 5 stars. But for someone who tries to live sustainably whilst also needing to be frugal, it’s definitely a splurge.

This lotion is great! Its lightweight, Its never sticky feeling and absorbs quickly. Be mindful if you have very dry skin like me in the winter months you may have to seal it with a body oil on dry areas.

The body lotion is just lovely. It is hydrating however it does not end up feeling sticky or heavy. Perfect after it soaks in. The scent is lovely and subtle. Love the ability to recycle. This is my new moisturizer. 10+ stars!

I am such a big fan of this lotion! It is definitely the best lotion I have ever purchased. I am really relieved that I was able to find a lotion that does a fantastic job at moisturizing my super dry skin. I have always struggled to find a moisturizer that lasts long enough on my skin to provide relief from the kinds of cracking and irritation I experience. I am also really glad to be a part of a greater sustainable movement to reduce waste. It was really a great choice to invest in a quality lotion, both practically and ethically. If you’re thinking about reducing your plastic waste and want quality products, I would greatly recommend giving Plaine Products a try.
