HOW TO USE
Thoroughly wet hair. Lather together a small amount of shampoo and water. Gently massage shampoo into hair, focusing on scalp and roots. Rinse clean.
–Tip: if you want a better lather, add more water, not more product.

First off, Smells GREAT! Secondly I have Lymes disease and I have to live a non-toxic lifestyle to keep my flare ups in check. I absolutely LOVE the Plaine Hair care line. I also use the face wash. This is currently my favorite shampoo. I was skeptical in using hair products that were natural and aloe-based. I like a good shampoo with tons of lather and tons of fragrance- which just translates to a lot of chemicals. I was blown away by how much this shampoo lathers! I was NOT expecting that. The citrus lavender scent adds a delicate touch and I loved that the shampoo is sulfate, silicone, and palm oil free. I shed a lot of hair so using a shampoo that is free of harmful chemicals is a big win and a first for me. A little goes a long way, and I have noticed how much less oily my scalp is so I am very impressed with this product. It took about three weeks for my hair to adjust to the change in product, but I think this is a great way to not only be sustainable, but to actually take care of my hair. I love that it does a lot to bring out the natural texture and waves in my hair as well (I have waist length hair for reference). I paired the shampoo with the deep conditioner and my hair has really been through a recovery since. I definitely recommend this product!

I purchased the rosemary mint vanilla shampoo, which was a risk for me because some natural shampoos haven’t been effective on my fairly oily hair in the past. But this shampoo works great! I’ve been using it for a couple months now (I work it into my scalp and then let it sit for maybe 30 seconds before rinsing), and my hair is just as clean as it was when I was using the big-brand shampoos I used before; in fact, my hair seems to have gotten less oily in the time that I’ve been using Plaine Product shampoo. I had to psychologically adjust to a shampoo with less suds, compared to the shampoos I typically use, but I have quickly gotten used to this new idea of what “cleanliness” is (you don’t need mountains of foam to clean your hair). Most importantly though, I feel good about buying ethically-sourced product that comes in reusable zero-plastic packaging. I recommend this product!

I use the rosemary mint shampoo and it is INCREDIBLE. I have been struggling to find a sustainable shampoo that (1) I’m not allergic to, (2) doesn’t leave me feeling greasy, and (3) works well with my wavy hair but the rosemary mint shampoo has fixed all that! I’ve found that I really only need a small amount to get the job done too which is nice. Plus Plaine Products make me feel good about spending my money because I know they have the same goals of being kind to the planet in mind.

After using Plaine shampoo/conditioner for over a year, I tried a different natural shampoo/conditioner (I guess out of curiosity, and due to it being cheaper), but like the comment above, my hair feels very heavy and still dirty. It was an easy decision to come back to buying from Plaine, and I’ll be giving away the other product. Purchased the rosemary mint shampoo. Most natural shampoos don’t work for my more oily hair, but I was pleasantly surprised to feel how soft and light my hair felt after using it. I do let it sit for several minutes. It doesn’t make my hair last any longer than my previous shampoo, but it works for as long and leaves if softer on the 1st and 2nd day. Also like that the packaging is zero waste.
