We founded Plaine Products to provide natural, quality products in sustainable packaging, making it easier for everyone to use a little less plastic in their lives. Most bathrooms are filled with plastic bottles that will only be used once before they head to the garbage or recycling can. While recycling plastic is always a good idea, experts agree that it isn’t a solution. Only 5 – 10% of plastic is reclaimed for recycling. Even when it is recycled, if it can even be recycled, most plastic still eventually ends up in a landfill or in our lakes and oceans.
Noniko also recognized this problem and set out to offer its deodorant in reusable, recyclable packaging. Their cases and inserts are made of 100% stainless steel, with the case yours for life and the refills reusable. Like our aluminum packaging, stainless steel is more likely to be recycled and can be infinitely renewed.
We recently sat down, virtually of course, with Noniko and asked them to share a little more about themselves so we could get to know them better. Based on what we’ve learned we think you’ll love them as much as we do.
Who They Are
At Noniko, we’re raising the standard in how body care is defined. Handcrafted in small batches in our San Diego studio, it is our mission to deliver you truly natural, effective ingredients in sustainable packaging. We applied the same mentality to our packaging, because we won’t settle for anything less.
We are a women owned and run company based in San Marcos, CA. All of our deodorants are handmade in small batches in our studio. We also have a conscious subscription deodorant model- your deodorant refill gets delivered straight to your doorstep every 3 months, and all you have to do is pop your old refill into the prepaid packaging and it gets sent back to us to be put back in use! A Little History
After tirelessly searching for a natural deodorant that worked, we still came up empty-handed. So naturally, we decided to take matters into our own hands! After perfecting our formula and mastering our 3 fan-favorite scents, we sought out sustainable packaging. We conducted an exhaustive search of the packaging industry and continually found only options that compromised esthetics, user experience, or worst of all were not authentically sustainable.
That’s when we decided to go all the way to team up with Verity Packaging and house our deodorant in a plastic-free, reusable case that has a lifetime guarantee. This case is literally yours for life. We recognize that everything we do has an impact on our planet. It is our mission to minimize this impact and reflect it in everything we do.
